UFC Live on Versus 6

UFC Live on Versus 6Stefan Struve will be living up to the nickname “Skyscraper” in his upcoming fight. At 6’11”, Struve is pretty much guaranteed to have the height and reach advantage. He will be using them against his next opponent Pat Barry, who is 5’11” tall. With a one foot height difference, Stefan will try to keep Barry on the outside and look to employ his superb kickboxing skills. Struve is looking to rebound from his recent (T)KO loss to Travis Browne. At the tender age of 23, Stefan is one of the youngest fighters in the UFC and has a great future ahead of him. Struve will look to learn from his recent loss and then take what he learned and move forward. With a 25-5 record already, there isn’t much he hasn’t encountered in the fight game, but he is preparing for anything. His opponent, Pat Barry, is a kickboxing powerhouse and loves to bang. Struve will do his best to stay away from the brawl and instead use a crisp, clean striking technique. If the fight does go to the ground, Stephan has a great submission game and will look to use his long limbs to sink in a triangle or guillotine choke and put Pat to sleep. Struve is young, talented, experienced and hungry for a win. Look for Stefan to start out on the offensive and take it straight to Barry. Hayabusa is excited to partner with Stefan Struve and wishes him success in his upcoming fight.

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson is one of the biggest fighters in the welterweight division.
At 6’2”, he is physically imposing, has devastating power and ridiculously fast hands. Johnson, for all of his size and power, is blindingly fast and accurate. Anthony is one of the most devastating strikers, with 6 wins by KO or TKO, and has a wrestling pedigree that helps him keep the fight where he wants it. His opponent, Charlie Brenneman, is riding the momentum of his last fight against Rick Story. “Rumble” will have to be on top of his game and will need to use all his speed and power to counter the relentless attack of Brenneman. Johnson is poised to take the next step up the ladder towards the ultimate goal of UFC gold. Anthony has the potential to be one of the greatest in the welterweight division and just needs to put all his skills together. We are proud that Anthony Johnson chooses Hayabusa and we look forward to another exciting fight. “Let’s get ready for RUMBLE!”

Hayabusa would also like to wish Paul Sass and Raphael Oliveria success in their upcoming fights. Both fighters look to take the next step up the ladder in the stacked lightweight division. Hayabusa welcomes the opportunity to work with these lightweight fighters and we are looking forward to two amazing fights.

UFC 135

Mark Hunt has one of the best striking resumes in the heavyweight division. Hunt, a former K-1 World Grand Prix Champion, was looking for a new challenge and Pride FC offered him a contract. Mark’s MMA record may stand at 6-7, but this is deceiving when you look at the calibre of fighter he has faced. He holds notable wins over the likes of Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva. Hunt is as rough and tough as any Mixed Marital Artist you will ever see. He can adapt and change to suit each opponent and has the ability to take a powerful punch. The ground game is his weakness, as 6 of his 7 loses are by submission, but he is dedicated to improving his technique and is constantly working on his wrestling and submissions. Hunt broke his losing streak, with a crushing KO over Chris Tuchscherer, in front of a hometown crowd in Australia. Now, at 1-1 in the Ocatagon, Hunt is looking to rededicate himself to the sport and wants to make a run for the heavyweight title. He will have his hands full against Ben Rothwell, but is confident that he will take the next step forward. Hayabusa is excited to team up with Mark Hunt and looks forward to another great performance. Mark proudly chooses to train and compete in Hayabusa, #1 Trusted Brand in MMA.

Nate Diaz is heading back to 155 lbs after a 2-2 run in the welterweight division. Diaz, a submission standout, is as talented as they come. His losses at welterweight were by decision and neither opponent, Dong Hyun Kim or rising star Rory MacDonald, were able to finish him. Diaz’s next challenge is against Japanese sensation Takanori Gomi. Nate is ready to go to war with ‘The Fireball Kid’ and will look to avoid the powerful hands of Gomi. Diaz has improved his striking game, but it is dangerous to try to stand and trade with Gomi. Nate will look to take Gomi down and finish him on the ground either by submission or ground and pound. Hayabusa is proud to team up with Nate Diaz and wishes him the best of luck in his upcoming fight.

At 12-0 Nick Ring is a middleweight fighter to keep your eye on . While on the 11th season of TUF Nick won his first two fights, including a decision win over the eventual winner Court McGee, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Since the show, Ring is a perfect 2-0 in the UFC and looks to keep his unbeaten streak alive against Tim Boetsch. Nick has very fast, powerful hands and combines this striking prowess with a Brown Belt in BJJ. Ring has the experience and potential to make a huge impact in the middleweight division. Hayabusa is proud that Nick Ring chooses to train and compete in Hayabusa. Hayabusa would like to wish Nick Ring the best in his quest for middleweight gold.

Hayabusa would also like to wish wrestling standout Ricardo Romero luck as he looks to get back on the winning track against James Te Huna.

Alistair Overeem Makes His Return to the UFC

Alistair Overeem Makes His Return to the UFCWith the highly anticipated returm of Alistair “The Reem” Overeem to the UFC, at UFC 156 this weekend, why not mark the return of the Dutch giant with the Official Hayabusa Alistair Overeem Signature Fight Shorts?!

Overeem is hoping to relegate the real life “Big Foot” to the realms of mythology when he faces Antonio Silva this weekend, in what should be an epic clash of the titans! This is a great card we can’t wait for, don’t forget to look out for the Hayabusa sponsored fighters too in their Hayabusa Fight Shorts!

UFC 134 Hayabusa Sponsored Fighters

Dan Miller is one tough nut to crack. Many have tried, but he has yet to be knocked out or submitted in his professional fighting career. 13-5 with all his losses coming by unanimous decision, Miller always brings the fight. This wrestling powerhouse has the ability to control where the fight takes place and the striking and jiu-jitsu skills to finish his opponents.  Miller will have to be exceptionally careful if he decides to take this fight to the ground as his opponent, Rousimar Palhares, is a submission master. Dan Miller is as rugged and durable as they come and looks to come out victorious at UFC 134. Hayabusa is proud that Dan Miller chooses to wear Hayabusa and we wish him success in his upcoming bout.

When Spencer Fisher enters the Octagon, you know there will be a spectacular fight. Win or lose, “The King” always gives fight fans an amazing performance. Fisher is known for his fast, accurate hands and his willingness to engage with anyone in the lightweight division. Spencer embodies the expression “Three round war” and this was shown in his bouts with Sam Stout (twice), Jeremy Stephens, Denis Siver and Ross Pearson. This veteran of over 30 fights looks to take the fight to his next opponent, Thiago Tavares. Fisher will be wearing the Hayabusa Pro Competition Shiai Fight Shorts, which will help him to avoid submissions while unleashing his striking arsenal against Tavares. Hayabusa is proud to sponsor Spencer Fisher as he looks to bring to fight to yet another opponent.

Brendan Schaub is a true athlete with a love of MMA. This former football player trained in boxing and jiu-jitsu, while playing football, to stay in peak physical condition. The results have paid dividends. “The Hybrid” is a complete fighter and great athlete. He has the potential to be a future champion and is looking for the biggest win of his career at UFC 134, where he takes on one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time Minotauro Nogueira. Schaub’s jiu-jitsu skills will be put to the test against “Big Nog”, a BJJ black belt who has beaten some of the best in the world.  Hayabusa is proud to sponsor this up and coming warrior in his quest to become the best.

A new challenger has entered the stacked light heavyweight division; Stanislav Nedkov. Nedkov is undefeated in his professional MMA career and has made it to the pinnacle of MMA, the UFC. With only 3 of his 11 fights making it out of the first round and only 2 going to a decision,Stanislav comes to fight. A jiu-jitsu black belt, two-time National Freestyle Wrestling Champion of Bulgaria and has multiple 1st place finishes in international tournaments Nedkov is a prospect worth watching. With career wins over Kevin Randleman and Travis Wiuff, Stanislav has already fought some tough competition. This new entry in the 205 lb division will look to make an immediate impact. Hayabusa is excited to sponsor this amazing new talent and looks forward to watching a new star rise.

Hayabusa would like to wish sponsored fighters Ian Loveland and Yves Jaboin in their upcoming featherweight bout. Both are exciting, dynamic fighters and will look to showcase what the featherweight division is all about.
